Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Dance Instructor/Choreographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students of all ages through engaging dance lessons, develop innovative choreography, and foster a positive learning environment. Duties
- Plan and teach dance classes tailored to various skill levels and age groups, including children and beginners.
- Develop original choreography for performances, and recitals
- Create a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.
- Collaborate with staff, and other instructors to coordinate class schedules and performances.
- Assist in organizing dance workshops, community events, and school programs.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities and maintain a clean, organized studio environment.
- Incorporate elements of early childhood education when working with young children to promote developmental milestones through dance.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with dance trends and teaching methodologies.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or choreographing dance routines.
- Strong ability to work effectively with children and diverse age groups.
- Excellent communication skills to instruct and motivate students clearly.
- Creativity in developing engaging dance routines and lesson plans.
- Classroom experience or background in early childhood education is a plus.
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet individual student needs.
- Passion for dance education and fostering artistic growth in others.
- Organizational skills to manage class schedules and coordinate performances effectively.
