Mattawa IDA Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented
Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team in Mattawa, Ontario. As a community-focused pharmacy located within a rural community, we pride ourselves on delivering personalized patient care and building strong relationships within our town.
The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, comfortable with computers and technology, and enjoys working in a team-focused environment while interacting with patients on a daily basis.
Responsibilities

Perform technical checks of prescriptions and medication orders within RPhT scope.

Accurately prepare, package, label, and dispense medications.

Receive and process verbal prescription orders as permitted by legislation.

Conduct prescription verification and final technical checks.

Manage narcotic and controlled substance inventories and reconciliations.

Maintain accurate patient and medication records.

Support inventory management, ordering, and stock control.

Assist with workflow optimization and dispensary operations.

Ensure compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards, policies, and procedures.

Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
Qualifications & Skills

Current registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.

Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited program.

Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication distribution processes.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and customer service abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable with computers and eager to learn new systems
