Milestone Real Estate Lawyers is a growing boutique law firm in Langley focused on real estate law, wills and estates, corporate law, and private lending. We pride ourselves on providing practical legal advice, exceptional client service, and efficient file management.
We are seeking a motivated Junior Associate Lawyer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our solicitor practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly called lawyer or lawyer with up to 3 years of experience looking to build a long-term career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Practice Areas
The successful candidate will work on a variety of solicitor matters, including:
- Residential and commercial real estate transactions
- Purchases, sales, refinances, and title transfers
- Private lending and mortgage transactions
- Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Representation Agreements
- Probate and estate administration
- Corporate incorporations, annual maintenance, and commercial transactions
- General solicitor practice matters
Responsibilities
- Conduct client meetings and provide legal advice
- Draft and review legal documents and correspondence
- Manage files from opening to completion
- Communicate with clients, lenders, realtors, accountants, and other professionals
- Work collaboratively with legal assistants and support staff
- Maintain accurate time records and file management practices
- Participate in business development and community networking opportunities
Qualifications
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
- Newly called lawyer or up to 3 years of practice experience
- Strong organizational and file management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Experience in real estate, wills and estates, or corporate law is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
