Job Title: Carpenter / Finishing Labourer (Contract) – Immediate Start
Location: Red Deer, AB (Local Work Only)
Job Type: Contract / Full-Time
Pay: $25.00–$45.00 per hour (based on experience, skill level, and certifications)
We are currently seeking experienced Carpenters and Skilled Finishing Labourers for ongoing contract work in the Red Deer area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong finishing skills who take pride in high-quality craftsmanship.
Work is available immediately and will consist primarily of residential and light commercial finishing and carpentry work.
Responsibilities
- Cabinet installation and finishing
- Trim work (baseboards, casing, crown moulding, etc.)
- Interior finishing carpentry
- Layout and framing preparation
- Forming work
- Grouting and basic masonry tasks
- General construction and finishing duties as required
- Reading and following plans and specifications
- Maintaining a clean and safe job site
Requirements
- Proven experience in finishing carpentry, cabinetry, or trim work
- Experience with layout, forming, and/or masonry work (for carpenter roles)
- Positions open to:
- 1st Year Apprentices
- Journeyman / Red Seal Carpenters
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Own basic hand tools (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Relevant certifications are an asset
