Who we are:

HeyBryan is a tech-enabled platform based out of Vancouver that started as a passion project by two friends and colleagues, who experienced first-hand how difficult it was to find trusted, reliable and easily accessible home-service experts. Their mission was to create a central location where homeowners could go to easily and quickly contact qualified professionals to fix their dishwasher or provide a home-cleaning service.

What you'll bring:

We are looking for a talented, tech-savvy, creative WriterandSocial Media Specialist to join our growing startup. You are responsible for delivering our brand and message to the world. You have a passion for writing and all things social media. We are seeking an independent and passionate team member to help support the creation of content and manage the day-to-day flow of all social channels. This is a part-time contract role with the opportunity to go full-time in the spring. You must be available to collaborate with the Vancouver team in person as needed and only Vancouver residence will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create content (social, email, landing pages, website, press releases, etc.)
  • Development of brand awareness and online reputation
  • Create a regular publishing schedule
  • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with our Creative Director and Head of Marketing on strategic initiatives
  • Manage and maintain all HeyBryan digital properties; Website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, YouTube and Pinterest
  • Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns (analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results)
  • Develop and launch various marketing campaigns
  • Create and develop marketing materials
  • Develop and publish content for different mediums; website, one-pagers, etc
  • Understand SEO and generation of inbound traffic

Knowledge, Skills & Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as Copywriter
  • 3+ years experience as a social media manager / specialist
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional and digital marketing
  • Creative with a passion for words and fostering the voice of a brand
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
  • Ability to multi-task with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Highly self-motivated and enjoys a certain level of autonomy
  • Excellent writing and language skills
  • Working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem
  • Practices superior time management
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas
  • Pays particular attention to detail and meticulous with editing
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Team player
  • Experience within the technology sector
  • Outgoing, go-getter, with a positive attitude
