About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bread Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in artisan bread production, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix, scale, shape, proof, and bake a variety of breads and rolls.
- Prepare and maintain sourdough starters and preferments.
- Monitor product quality and consistency throughout the baking process.
- Follow production schedules to ensure products are ready on time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and ingredient preparation.
- Work collaboratively with the bakery team to achieve production goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional bread baking experience.
- Strong knowledge of fermentation, dough handling, and baking techniques.
- Experience with artisan and sourdough bread production preferred.
- Ability to work early morning, overnight, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product excellence.
- Food Safety Certification is an asset.
