Atlantic Towing Limited is a well established and growing Marine Company with a diverse fleet of Harbour, Coastal/Deep Sea Tugs as well as Offshore Supply Vessels with locations in Saint John, New Brunswick, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Victoria, British Columbia, and St. John's, Newfoundland.

Atlantic Towing is currently seeking applications for the position of Offshore Operations Superintendent to join our St. John’s, Newfoundland offshore operations. Reporting to the OSV Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to the offshore fleet, maintaining first class customer responsiveness and adhering to the organization’s safety standards. The Operations Superintendent is key to the business in ensuring that the Company is performing to its best potential. The individual will have full responsibility of managing the direct cost of the operations while ensuring that vessels are maintained to high standards and performing to a world class standard.

Atlantic Towing is seeking a professional manager with experience in running operations, and with a proven track record of delivering results while providing strong leadership and oversight. The Offshore Operations Superintendent will be responsible for leading the execution of daily operations, including planned maintenance, health and safety of the employees, environmental and security, compliance to all regulatory bodies and ensuring company procedures are being adhered to. A key attribute for this position is the ability to work closely with our customers and provide regular dialog in supporting their local operations.

Minimum Qualifications include:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Operations Management position
Completion of post-secondary education is a requirement; specifically, applicants with an educational background in Engineering, Business Administration, Marine Engineering or Nautical Science will be given preference; a Masters in Business Administration will be considered a valuable asset for this position.
Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and priorities, well organized and comfortable working with data;
Ability to positively influence others by developing cooperative networks and building strong partnerships at all levels, both internally and externally;
Demonstrates strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills;
Possess a high commitment to customer service and safe working practices;
Prior project management experience required.
Proven leadership experience required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
