We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities
As a Commercial Mechanic, you will:
· Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial trucks
· Conduct heavy lifting and use power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs efficiently.
· Collaborate with team members
· Ensure all work meets safety regulations and quality standards.
· Keep shop floors, work areas, and yard clean and organized
To be successful in this role, you should have:
· Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles
· Strong mechanical knowledge
· Hands-on experience with welding is an asset
· CVIP inspector’s certificate is preferred
· Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail
· Reliable and punctual
· Strong work ethic and positive attitude
· Ability to work independently and follow directions
