Who we are:
United Agri Systems is a premier provider of poultry and milling equipment, systems and controls, as well as cow comfort products serving the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island and BC Interior agricultural communities.
We are currently looking for a Parts Counter Representative/Service Writer for our Abbotsford, BC location.
Responsibilities and duties:
1. Primary contact for customer inquiries, parts and service requests demonstrating excellent knowledge of our products, services, and policies.
2. Answering incoming phone calls and customer inquiries and directing calls to appropriate departments.
3. Assist customers, sales, service in person and over phone to complete parts fulfillment requests.
4. Assist customers in diagnosing equipment issues using vendor product manuals and questioning service technicians and sales staff.
5. Create and organize Work Orders using computer system (e.g GP, Service Manager and Salespad)
6. Work with the sales team to schedule Service Technicians required to perform tasks assigned by the sales department, including but not limited to ensuring the order number is received before scheduling technicians and inserting all information needed to close calls when completed.
7. Perform the end-to-end process of warranty claims, including identifying eligible issues, submitting claims to vendors or manufacturers, tracking resolution, and ensuring timely follow-up to completion.
8. Schedule any outstanding or additional work to be completed by technicians.
9. Calling customers for repair costs, retrieving, and disposing of old parts and tagging parts for warranty and shop repairs.
10. Work with Purchasing department to ensure proper parts are stocked and inventory levels are maintained, including picking scheduled service and van restock parts.
11. Work cooperatively with the Warehouse department to label and organize parts in the warehouse.
12. Understand customer needs and requirements and how our product can service their needs and share promotional offerings.
13. Stock store shelves and create product displays.
14. Load and unload product for customers and other transportation services.
15. Stay up to date on product and vendor knowledge.
Skills and abilities:
- Excellent customer service and a customer-first mindset.
- 2 years’ experience in a parts or sales-related position.
- Experience as a Service Writer would be an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Self-motivated with high energy and enthusiasm.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and resourceful when finding answers for customers.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to multitask and handle frequent interruptions.
- Ability and willingness to learn agricultural equipment and related environments and working conditions; Previous experience in the agriculture industry is an asset.
