Engineering Project Manager

CPC Pumps International Inc. offers well established unique pump designs and production capabilities, building on our 50 plus years of industry specific experience. We offer our customers engineered solutions for very demanding applications. Our products are designed and built to the latest American Petroleum Institute (API) standards. We are seeking a professional with project engineering and management experience to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing projects for engineered pumps and packages
  • Review contract requirements and customer specifications to ensure compliance with purchase order, industry standards and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and release purchase requisitions for major components (motors, seal support systems, etc.)
  • Prepare and release bills of materials and contract documents (Outline drawings, sectionals, inspection and test plans etc.)
  • Review pump design and sub-components to ensure proper fit and design along with compliance with customer specifications
  • Liaison with sales teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve technical and schedule issues
  • Participate in conference calls and customer meetings (occasional travel is involved)
  • Coordinate work with project team members (designers, contract administrators, document controllers) to ensure project tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist production, quality and purchasing departments to ensure smooth order execution

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing/industrial field is required
  • Experience with mechanical design and managing engineering projects is required
  • Experience with rotating equipment (pumps, turbines, motors, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience with pressure vessels and structural fabrication is an asset
  • Knowledge of industry standards is required (e.g. ASME, ASTM, API)

Software Proficiency

  • SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software (minimum 2 years experience)
  • Autocad for 2D sketching (minimum 2 years experience)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) are a must
  • Positive attitude and ability to work with multi-functional teams
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to de-escalate and manage sensitive situations
