THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant – Internal Financial Reporting to support join their team in Calgary, Alberta. This role will help maintain reporting accuracy, support period-end processes, and deliver reliable financial information to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Prepare internal financial reports and supporting analyses for management.
Perform account, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Support month-end close, including journal entry review and financial data validation.
Use Oracle and Hyperion SmartView to extract and analyze financial information.
Assist the Manager of Financial Reporting with accounting activities and ad hoc reporting.
Review financial results, identify variances, and support management reporting.
ABOUT YOU:
You are a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong financial reporting and reconciliation experience. You have hands-on experience with month-end close, Oracle, and Hyperion SmartView, along with strong analytical and communication skills. A CPA designation is required.

CPA designation required.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with financial reporting responsibilities.
Strong experience with account, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
Hands-on experience with month-end close and management reporting.
Proficiency with Oracle and Hyperion SmartView.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
