At Lion Healthcare, we are committed to enriching the lives of seniors in Long-Term Care and Retirement Homes across Ontario. Our Life Enrichment Aides play a vital role in promoting resident well-being through meaningful activities, social engagement, and recreational programming.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead daily activities that support physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of residents.
- Encourage resident participation in individual and group programs while respecting personal preferences and abilities.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, personal support workers, and other team members to integrate recreational programming into the overall care plan.
- Provide companionship and one-on-one support for residents who require individualized attention.
- Assist with program setup, cleanup, and documentation as required.
- Contribute to a safe and positive environment that respects residents' dignity and independence.
Qualifications:
- Hold a post-secondary diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology, or other related fields from a community college or university.
OR
- Be currently enrolled in a community college or university diploma or degree program in the above fields.
Additional Assets:
- Previous experience in recreation or therapeutic programming in long-term care or healthcare is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and patience.
- Ability to motivate and engage residents of varying abilities.

- 2 step TB test - must be less than 6 months old
