Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Russian Speaking Home Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to clients in their homes. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in senior care, assisted living, or healthcare services who are fluent in Russian. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by delivering personalized support with dignity and respect. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support, ensuring clients feel valued and cared for
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and instructions
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing living spaces
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Engage clients in recreational activities, exercises, or hobbies to promote mental and physical well-being
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to care plans to ensure client safety at all times
Requirements
- Fluency in Russian is essential; proficiency in English is preferred
- Prior experience in assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia care, medication administration, and nursing support is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care instructions
- Valid driver’s license may be preferred for certain assignments
- Certification or training in caregiving, nursing assistance, or home health is advantageous but not mandatory
