Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to an individual in need of personal care services. This role involves working closely with a senior recovering from surgery in their own home. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for client through attentive caregiving, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity in daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living
- Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Support clients with meal preparation to promote proper nutrition
- Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Engage clients in meaningful exercises as prescribed by a physiotherapist
- Driving client to and from medical appointments including surgery follow ups, physiotherapy and massage
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or concerns
Requirements
- Experience in home care preferred
- Knowledge of senior care
- Ability to administer medications following proper protocols
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills
- Strong communication skills and patience
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks as part of comprehensive care
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing respectful and dignified care
- Valid drivers license
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
