Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide excellent customer service to internal/external customers, vendors and carriers
- Complete required paperwork with accuracy according to company policies, procedures and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of incoming & outgoing products/materials
- Use computer software for data entry
- Verify information listed on BOL and packing slips matches incoming and outgoing products/materials
- Package customer orders
- Prior to shipping orders/products, ensure the packages are wrapped and/or secure to prevent potential damage during transport
- Prepare and schedule orders to be shipped via carrier or delivered by Flaman trucks
- Plan and source permits when required on large deliveries using Flaman trucks
- Track/trace and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Provide signature on carrier paperwork if all documentation and products are in good shape and correct as listed on carrier paperwork
- Inspect incoming and outgoing packages/products for any damages, correct item and quantity
- Document and report damaged goods to affected parties and your manager
- Properly tag and label incoming products and stage for put away
- Sort products/materials and ensure items are safely stored (parts dept does this in Nisku)
- Load and unload products/materials (some heavy lifting involved)
- Operate a forklift
- Organization of product in Flaman yard and receiving areas
- Ensure use of appropriate PPE when performing job duties
- Maintain a clean tidy and organized workspace
- Remain current with product knowledge regarding parts, hardware and new equipment
- Collaborate with internal as well as company-wide departments to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
- Follow up with manager as needed
- Other duties as required and/or tasked by manager
- Weekend availability
- Overtime may be necessary during busy seasons
Skills and Qualifications:
- Recognize the importance of building strong, lasting relationships with customers, vendors, carriers and co-workers
- Previous supply chain, logistics and/or warehouse experience
- Proficient with technology, computer applications, including Microsoft Office, parts and inventory software programs
- Familiarity with parts and agricultural equipment /trailers (considered an asset)
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Must be accountable, reliable and have good problem solving skills
- The ability to multi-task and balance priorities
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through
- Capable of safely lifting up to 55 lbs. on your own, 100lbs+ as team lift
- Good communication skills both verbal and written (fluent in English)
- Able to take direction and work as a team player
- Maintain a positive “can do” attitude
- Have great work ethic and willingness to expand industry knowledge/education
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and satisfactory criminal record check
