Go Beyond Academy is a comprehensive education centre located in Richmond Hill, providing high-quality academic and enrichment programs. We are seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dependable Math Teacher to join our team beginning in September 2026 and continue throughout the 2026–2027 academic school year.
The successful candidate should be comfortable teaching Mathematics from Grades 7–12, with particular strength in senior Ontario high school Mathematics.
Experience teaching Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, and Data Management is highly valued.
This is an ongoing part-time position with teaching hours primarily available during weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as Saturdays and Sundays.
Key Responsibilities
Math Instruction: Deliver clear, engaging, and curriculum-aligned Mathematics lessons for students in Grades 7–12.
Senior-Level Mathematics: Teach and support students in senior Ontario Mathematics courses, including:
- Grade 11 Functions
- Grade 11 Functions and Applications
- Grade 12 Advanced Functions
- Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors
- Grade 12 Mathematics of Data Management
Student Support: Explain mathematical concepts clearly, strengthen students’ problem-solving skills, and prepare students for tests, examinations, and future coursework.
Lesson Preparation: Prepare appropriate lesson materials, examples, practice questions, and homework based on students’ academic needs.
Adaptability: Adjust teaching strategies, lesson content, and pacing to accommodate different learning styles, academic levels, and student goals.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, organized, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Progress Monitoring: Track student performance, identify areas requiring improvement, and provide regular and constructive feedback.
Parent Communication: Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress, participation, strengths, and areas for continued development.
Qualifications
Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Ontario Mathematics curriculum for Grades 7–12.
Senior Mathematics Proficiency: Candidates should be confident teaching multiple senior high school Mathematics courses, particularly Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, and Data Management.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Ontario Certified Teachers, teacher candidates, and current university students or recent graduates in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Education, Physics, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
Experience: Previous classroom teaching, tutoring, teaching-assistant, or other relevant instructional experience is preferred.
Core Skills: Strong mathematical reasoning, clear communication, reliability, organization, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
Work Schedule and Commitment
This is an ongoing part-time position beginning in September 2026.
Typical teaching hours include:
- Weekday afternoons and evenings
- Saturday and Sunday
- Additional hours may become available depending on student enrollment and scheduling
