General Maintenance Worker
The TNFC provides services to support the cultural heritage of Indigenous peoples through intervention, prevention, direct services, advocacy, and support in the areas of health, education, employment and training, culture, recreation, and social services.
Job Duties:
· Daily maintenance of reception areas, shared spaces, and bathrooms
· Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, stairs, empty trash cans, recycling bins, wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
· Perform daily inspections on the building systems for safety and security
· Experienced in using hand and electric tools, yard maintenance tools, and industrial floor cleaner
· Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
· Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and document minor purchases as needed for ordering
· Respond to requests for work orders for minor repairs in buildings
· Coordinate the preparation of housing units prior to new tenants
· Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the building’s equipment
· Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
· Work with minimal supervision
· WHMIS, First Aid & CPR
· Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes

The successful candidate will be expected to work 35 hours per work week, on occasion evenings or weekends. The working hours will meet the demands of the position, the needs, and the objectives and are at the sole discretion of TNFC.
Starting salary range begins at $ 17.60 to $21.00 plus benefits,
(wage conditional upon experience)
