Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Bookkeeper to join our team remotely, supporting clients primarily in Richmond. This part-time role is ideal for professionals proficient in Quickbooks Online and bookkeeping processes. The successful candidate will manage financial records, perform account reconciliations. and assist with budgeting and financial analysis. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with diverse clients, utilizing your expertise in accounting and payroll management.
Responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online, Sage
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable
- Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting functions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and tax reporting (GST)
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify financial data
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks Online;
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and reporting purposes
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus
Qualified person must be located in Richmond, BC, as some in person work is required
Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
