The Job
As the Host/Support Staff, you create the first impression of AquaTerra, warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth seating flow. You’ll also assist with room service and take-out orders, helping deliver a seamless, guest-focused dining experience.

What You'll Do
- Create a positive, professional, and welcoming impression for all guests.
- Manage the flow of the dining room and lounge to ensure smooth seating and service transitions.
- Operate the computerized point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Assign tables, seat guests promptly, and present menus with warmth and professionalism.
- Answer the telephone courteously and assist with inquiries, reservations, and take-out orders.
- Prepare and complete guest orders from the Grab ’n Go bar and take-out service.
- Deliver room service orders promptly and courteously, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Conduct floor sweeps to collect trays, dishes, and glassware from hotel lobbies and public areas.
- Coordinate with other departments to arrange special requests and ensure a seamless experience for VIP and Elite guests.
- Assist in clearing and cleaning tables to prepare for the next guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, dining areas, and service zones.
- Demonstrate hotel and brand standards of service at all times.
- Provide guests with up-to-date information on restaurant promotions, hotel amenities, and local events.

Who We're Looking For
- Minimum Grade 10 education
- Previous server/host experience
- Smart Serve certification required
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Possess a high degree of enthusiasm, initiative, and professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining tact and diplomacy
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team environment.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment with co-workers, managers, and guests.
- Must be flexible to mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidaysa
