Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Carpenter to join our construction team. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience in various carpentry and construction tasks, offering a valuable opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic environment. The Apprentice Carpenter will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to learn industry best practices, safety standards, and technical skills essential for a successful career in carpentry and construction. Responsibilities
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution
- Support concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks under supervision
- Participate in siding installation, restoration projects, and other exterior/interior building tasks
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling to support job site needs
- Aid in the use of welding equipment for structural or repair work as needed
- Contribute to woodworking projects including framing, trimming, and custom carpentry tasks
- Follow safety protocols consistently to maintain a safe work environment
- Support the setup and cleanup of job sites, ensuring tools and materials are organized and secure
Skills
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Experience or interest in concrete forming, finishing, and restoration work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of carpentry principles including siding, framing, and woodworking techniques
- Ability to read technical instructions and follow detailed schematics or plans
- Willingness to learn welding techniques relevant to construction projects
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Strong attention to safety procedures and teamwork-oriented mindset

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
