Overview
PAL laboratory and is seeking a registered microbiologist who can work independently and help develop the laboratory from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Perform sterility testing of pharmaceutical products according to USP <71>.
Conduct microbial limits, bioburden, water, air, surface and environmental monitoring testing.
Prepare, sterilize and perform growth-promotion testing of microbiological media.
Isolate, culture and identify bacteria, yeast and mould from samples.
Develop and write SOPs, test methods, worksheets, protocols and laboratory reports.
Perform method suitability, verification and validation studies.
Investigate unexpected growth, failed controls, out-of-specification results and environmental excursions.
Maintain accurate GMP-compliant laboratory records.
Support laboratory audits, quality-system development and regulatory readiness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology.
Minimum three years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology or contract-testing laboratory experience.
Hands-on experience with USP <71> sterility testing and aseptic microbiological techniques.
Experience with media preparation, growth promotion, pharmaceutical sample testing, water testing and environmental monitoring.
Ability to write SOPs, validation protocols and technical reports.
Experience identifying bacterial and fungal isolates.
Knowledge of GMP, good documentation practices and data integrity.
Ability to organize laboratory activities and work independently with minimal supervision.
