Overview
We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join our team for a paid co-op placement from May to August. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing reports, cleaning data, creating and preparing reports, updating and uploading data into the ERP.
Term: The co-op placement will be from May to August, 30-40 hours per week, with the potential to continue on an ad hoc basis after the summer term.
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyzing reports and identifying trends and patterns.
- Cleaning and formatting data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Creating and preparing reports for stakeholders.
- Updating and uploading data into the ERP.
- Assisting with data migration and integration projects.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Access, Excel, Power BI, and Power Query.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of database management systems and ETL processes.
