We are seeking a skilled SERVICE MANAGER to join our dynamic team at Marcotto Mechanical Contractors Inc. This role is essential in delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services for our clients' heating and cooling systems. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of providing ultimate comfort and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HVAC service department.
- Coordinate and manage service schedules to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure service calls are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources to meet business demands.
- Maintain department productivity and profitability.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and support HVAC service technicians.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and training.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing new employees.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and safety-focused work environment.
- Manage employee attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters when required.
Customer Service
- Maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial customers.
- Resolve customer concerns and service issues professionally and promptly.
- Review service reports and ensure quality workmanship.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians.
- Ensure compliance with HVAC codes, regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
- Stay current with new technologies, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Assist with complex service calls when necessary.
Scheduling and Dispatch
- Coordinate daily technician schedules and emergency service calls.
- Prioritize work based on customer needs and technician availability.
- Monitor response times and service completion rates.
- Ensure efficient use of labour and company vehicles.
Financial Management
- Monitor departmental budgets, labour costs, and service revenue.
- Review technician productivity and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and increase profitability.
- Assist in preparing quotes, estimates, and service agreements.
- Review all invoices and prepare at times
- Support inventory control and purchasing of service-related materials.
Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Promote safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Conduct safety meetings and investigate workplace incidents when necessary.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Prepare operational reports and performance metrics.
- Ensure licensing, certifications, and training records remain current.
- Collaborate with office staff, sales, installation teams, and senior management to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–10 years of HVAC industry experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with scheduling and service management software.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Relevant HVAC certifications and licences as required by provincial or local regulations.

Pay: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
