Our thriving family-owned company has over 50 years of experience. More specifically, Transbec is one of Canada’s largest distributors of automotive parts and accessories. We are currently looking for a Customer Experience & Commercial Support Specialist (Automotive) to join our Laval team (on-site position, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm).
This role goes far beyond traditional customer service. You will be a key link between our customers, internal teams, and operations, with a strong technical focus related to automotive products.
You won’t be spending your days only behind a computer: you will be expected to get involved in the field, collaborate with the warehouse team, understand our products and their applications, and actively contribute to delivering relevant, credible, and automotive industry-focused service.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys taking initiative, building relationships, and developing true expertise in the automotive industry.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Create an Exceptional Customer Experience
- Respond to customer calls and inquiries with a professional and proactive approach
- Understand customer needs related to automotive parts and accessories in order to provide accurate and tailored solutions
- Process orders and ensure proper follow-up
- Monitor deliveries, orders, and special situations
- Identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Be a Partner for Our Customers
- Help customers better utilize our tools (web search, order tracking, proactive follow-ups, etc.)
- Reduce repetitive requests by providing better guidance and support
Support Business Development
- Communicate with customers to introduce new products, arrivals, promotions, and business opportunities
- Follow up with customers to maintain proactive relationships
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote strategic products
- Prepare and share promotional materials when required
Stay Current with the Market and Digital Customer Experience
- Monitor customer platforms
- Validate the quality of our online presence (pricing, images, new products, product information, and positioning)
- Ensure the accuracy of information related to automotive parts
- Identify improvement opportunities
- Conduct competitive research and share relevant insights
Stay Connected with Operations and Contribute to Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with the warehouse team and supervisors to improve internal communication
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts
- Support special projects related to operations
Develop Automotive Expertise
- Expand your knowledge of our products and the automotive industry
- Become a trusted resource for certain technical questions
- Help improve the quality of customer responses through your expertise
- Knowledge of the automotive industry (parts, accessories, basic vehicle functionality) is strongly preferred, as it is a key factor for success in this role.
You Are Someone Who Is:
- Bilingual (FR/EN), dynamic, curious, and solution-oriented
- Comfortable communicating with both French- and English-speaking customers
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Interested in learning and understanding products
- Proactive and motivated to contribute to improving processes and ways of working
- A team player who values collaboration across departments
You Have Experience With:
- Customer service, inside sales, sales support, or a similar role
- Strong comfort level with computer tools as Excel and web-based platforms
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English (serving customers across Canada)
- Interest or experience in the automotive industry (strong asset)
