TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER (INSIDE SALES)

Role Summary
The Technical Inside Sales & Project Coordinator is responsible for managing customer opportunities from Request for Quote (RFQ) through to shipment. This role combines technical inside sales, estimating, project coordination, and customer relationship management to deliver accurate quotations and ensure successful execution of customer projects.
Working closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Shipping, as well as supporting our Outside Sales team, this position serves as the primary customer contact while coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties and responsibilities
Customer & Sales Support
· Manage assigned customer accounts and serve as the primary point of contact.
· Build strong customer relationships through responsive communication and excellent service.
· Support Outside Sales Representatives in developing existing and new business.
· Follow up on quotations and identify new sales opportunities.
Quotation & Estimating
· Review RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
· Prepare accurate quotations using company costing standards and ERP systems.
· Develop Bills of Material (BOMs).
· Obtain supplier quotations and evaluate pricing, lead times, and availability.
· Coordinate technical reviews with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Quality.
Project Coordination
· Coordinate customer projects from RFQ through shipment.
· Monitor schedules and communicate project status to customers and internal teams.
· Resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
· Ensure complete and accurate documentation prior to production release.
Technical Support
· Interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Material.
· Assist with component selection and alternate sourcing opportunities.
· Maintain accurate project documentation within ERP and CRM systems.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization efforts.

Qualifications
Required
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Inside Sales, Estimating, Project Coordination, or Customer Service within a manufacturing environment.
· Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
· Experience reading engineering drawings and Bills of Material.
· Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
· Experience in cable assemblies, wire harnesses, or electrical manufacturing.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
