Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with the WHMIS program is required. Ability to understand parameters of sterilization and apply microbiological principles. Ability to apply the characteristic properties of chemicals to the cleaning/decontamination process. Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions for cleaning, delivery of reprocessed items. Ability to understand processing requirements to organize workload with a minimum of supervision. Ability to retain knowledge of identification and necessary handling requirements of surgical instruments and medical supplies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.
