OVERVIEW
The Promotion & Email Marketing Specialist is an important role that provides marketing support to the casino marketing group, with a focus on emails, direct mails as well as planning and execution of in-house promotions and events. This role will supervise the Promo Ambassador roles at Parq Casino, who work on a part-time basis for each promotion & event.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Be main point of contact and master user for email marketing services for Parq Casino. Create and deploy various email marketing newsletters and offers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, while working with the brand design team to ensure alignment.

Conduct email A/B testing to optimize results, track email performance and provide monthly email performance reports for management.

Work with the print house to provide and execute all printed and digital proofs.

Manage all designers, agencies and translators, on all direct marketing pieces including promotion designs. Main point of contact for Canada Post, printer, for all daily, weekly and monthly Direct Mail.

Work with manager to come up with promotional ideas, names, execution planning and submit all contest conditions for approval with BCLC. Create promotion design briefs for designers.

Create internal communications about marketing promotions and programs and prepare internal promotional memos.

Update the in-house digital BCLC cool signs, including promotional material and Responsible Gaming signage.

Manage and track all promotions & offers expenses monthly.

Flexible work arrangements based on promotional & event scheduling. Evenings, weekends & holidays could require being on-site to ensure quality control.

Potential for hosting events in casino including being on mic or camera.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years of experience in Email Marketing and Event Planning

Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and analytical skills
-
Post-secondary qualifications in marketing or equivalent experience

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
-
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and interests

Strong computer knowledge – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Minimal graphic design works an asset (mostly used on Canva)

Casino, gambling or entertainment industry experience preferred
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

Ability to obtain a valid GPEB registration

Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings

Serving it Right Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs

Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours
