Lakeside Smiles Dentistry is a new modern dental clinic opening in Downtown Barrie near the waterfront. We are building a calm, polished, patient-centered team and are looking for a gentle, thorough, and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join us.
This role is ideal for someone who values prevention, patient education, periodontal health, and relationship-based care.
At Lakeside Smiles, the hygiene experience should feel calm, supportive, and non-judgmental. We want patients to feel informed, respected, and comfortable — especially patients who may be anxious or returning to dental care after time away.
Responsibilities
- Provide thorough and gentle dental hygiene care
- Complete periodontal assessments and documentation
- Take radiographs as appropriate
- Educate patients clearly and respectfully
- Support appropriate recall and perio maintenance intervals
- Communicate findings clearly to the dentist
- Support patient comfort and anxiety reduction
- Maintain accurate clinical notes
- Help patients understand home care recommendations
- Support rebooking and patient retention
- Maintain a clean and organized hygiene room
- Collaborate with the dentist, assistant, and front desk team

Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Strong periodontal assessment and documentation skills
- New graduates with strong communication and professionalism are welcome to apply

Schedule
- Part-time to start
- 1–2 days per week initially
- Opportunity for additional days as patient demand grows
- Daytime shifts
- Some evening availability may be considered
