Operational Leadership
- Oversee all production areas to ensure goals for safety, quality, and efficiency are achieved.
- Ensure completion of all assigned projects within established timelines, approved budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage and monitor corrective actions to address process issues and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain high standards of product quality and on-time delivery with no missing components.
- Implement and oversee the Change Control Style Matrix to ensure structured, documented, and approved process changes in a timely manner.
- Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and employee performance metrics to measure and drive operational excellence.
Continuous Improvement & Process Management
- Provide expertise and support in metal manufacturing technologies and processes. Coordinate and drive initiatives related to new equipment selection, integration, and automation when required.
- Lead change management activities to enhance productivity, quality, and profitability.
- Engage all levels of management to identify and implement best practices that improve production efficiency and streamline functions.
- Review and approve proposals, budgets, and cost analyses for ongoing and new projects.
- Evaluate schedules, cost constraints, operational specifications, and materials selection, including vendor qualification.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide leadership, training, coaching, and performance management for all production staff.
- Foster a collaborative environment where safety, accountability, and continuous improvement are top priorities.
- Set clear performance expectations and guide employees to meet or exceed company standards.
- Support cross-functional collaboration between production, quality assurance, logistics, and office teams.
Strategic and Financial Oversight
- Drive profitable, business-oriented processsolutions that align with manufacturing standards.
- Contribute to operational budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Track and report production performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience within a supervisory role
- Post-secondary related education is a plus
- Experience with Global Shop or related ERP software would be considered an asset
- Understand OHSA plus safety regulations and lead by example a must
- Great organizational and time management skills to lead, schedule and coordinate a team to complete multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to motivate and inspire team members.
- Proven ability to analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and knowledge of equipment maintenance, assembly, and process optimization.
- Able to perform effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Starting at $75,000.00 per year, dependent on skill and experience.
Shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm Mon-Fri, occassional Saturday
