SUMMARY
We are hiring an HR Administrator to join our team! As an HR Administrator, your primary focus will be hands-on HR tasks with a heavy focus on recruitment and HR administration. Other responsibilities will include onboarding and offboarding programs, health and safety, culture initiatives and team member relations.
As the HR Administrator, you will play a critical role in implementing the company’s people strategy. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, you will be an integral team member responsible for creating and nurturing a highly positive Team Member experience. This is a great opportunity for a junior to mid-level HR professional willing to learn and grow with the HR function.
AS AN HR ADMINISTRATOR, YOU WILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY:
Partnering with the HR team to manage and execute HR processes, policies, performance management, and team member relations
Completing onboarding and offboarding while maintaining records of personnel-related data in the HRIS
Serving as a point of contact for Team Member inquiries and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures
Developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the workplace health and safety program in a manufacturing environment
Managing full-cycle recruitment including creating and posting job ads, screening, interviewing, and drafting employment agreements
Ensuring compliance with provincial laws and regulations
Engaging in being part of a continuous learning environment that focuses on career growth and development through our internal learning platform, DRMG University
Helping drive a positive company culture by planning and executing Team Member engagement initiatives
Being willing to inter-provincial travel when needed
Providing administrative support as needed
YOU CAN EXCEL AS AN HR ADMINISTRATOR IF YOU HAVE:
Proven initiative and are a self-starter, fast learner, and multitasker
A jovial sense of humour
A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, and/or College Diploma in HR
2+ years of experience in HR with 2+ years of working knowledge of Ontario HR legislation (ESA, OHSA, WSIA, OHRC)
CHRP or CHRL designation or in progress an asset
Strong organizational skills and are detail-oriented in prioritizing work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines
Professionalism, discretion, integrity, and sound judgement in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
A high proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office applications
Experience using Canva and ADP Workforce Now a definite asset
Excellent presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
A proven track record of being a self-starter with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
