Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or the food industry is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering responsibilities and cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including tables, utensils, and workstations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest safety by adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Provide guest services that promote a welcoming atmosphere and encourage repeat business
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong skills in food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices
- Ability to perform basic math for order calculations and cash handling accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and hospitality
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including serving techniques, food preparation, and kitchen procedures is beneficial
