Framing / Carpentry Foreman (Kelowna, BC)
Full-Time | Residential & Multi-Family Wood-Frame Construction
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Framing/Carpentry Foreman to lead crews on residential and multi‑family wood‑frame projects throughout Kelowna and the Okanagan. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep knowledge of framing systems, WorkSafeBC compliance, and the ability to drive productivity while maintaining a safe, organized job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor framing crews (5–20 workers depending on project phase)
- Coordinate daily tasks, manpower, and material needs with site superintendent
- Read and interpret construction drawings, structural details, and engineered shop drawings
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and enforce WorkSafeBC regulations
- Oversee installation of floor systems, walls, roofs, stairs, sheathing, and structural components
- Manage layout, sequencing, and problem-solving during complex framing stages
- Coordinate with crane/telehandler operators for safe lifts and material placement
- Maintain accurate daily logs, timesheets, and progress reports
- Support onboarding and training of new workers and apprentices
- Promote a positive, safety-first culture on site
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of framing/carpentry experience in residential or multi-family construction
- 2+ years in a foreman, lead hand, or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations, fall protection, and safe work procedures
- Ability to read blueprints, structural plans, and layout drawings
- Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and material deliveries
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
Preferred Assets
- Red Seal Carpenter or equivalent experience
- OFA Level 1 or higher
- Experience with SiteDocs or digital safety systems
- Crane/telehandler experience (certifications an asset)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Compensation & Benefits
- $36–$45/hr depending on experience and leadership capability

Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Occasional Saturdays depending on project timelines
- Sites located throughout Kelowna and the Central Okanagan
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
