Position Purpose:
Appliance Specialists provide the highest level of customer service support to our customers. Appliance Specialists are assigned to Department 70 (Appliances) to assist customers, assess customer needs and guide customer decisions to build customer relationships and drive profitable sales.
Position Responsibilities:
We're looking for the type of associates who can tap into their inner orange by:
- Actively seeking Customers on the racetrack within the Appliance and Custom Kitchen Show Rooms
- Asking open-ended questions and expressing interest in projects in order to best serve the Customer

Determining Customer’s level of expertise and needs Answering questions and escorting Customers to merchandise in other sales areas that fit their needs

Assisting Customers in other sales areas when appropriate

Providing customer service over the telephone

Assisting Customers with special orders and install sales

Communicating with the Inventory Associates (IAs) regarding ordering issues

Communicating with the Freight/Fulfillment Team regarding pack-out/pack-down

Attending all scheduled product knowledge and training seminars
Experience/Knowledge Required:
The kind of orange we’re looking for will possess:
- Minimum time in position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3 in previous system)

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Knowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures

Proven ability to close the sale .Exceptional customer service skills

Successfully pass the validated Sales Associate Test
- Successfully complete any required Training
