Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and ensure our facilities remain in excellent working condition. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, and drywall repairs. This role is best suited for a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service to tenants and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs across multiple trades, including drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general facility upkeep.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
- Carry out minor roofing repairs, tile replacement, and general building upkeep.
- Assist with commercial painting projects and renovations as needed.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and building regulations at all times.
- Work collaboratively with property management and external contractors when required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working condition and report inventory needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade (commercial property experience is an asset).
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and HVAC troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, team members, and contractors.
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry, climb, and work in various conditions as required.
