TUBS, The Ultimate Bath Store, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team in Etobicoke. This is a fully onsite position and is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day financial administration, maintaining organized records, and supporting smooth business operations.
The successful candidate will manage core bookkeeping and financial administration activities, including accounts payable, payroll, government remittances, month-end and year-end processes, service entries, and internal documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full accounts payable process, including reviewing invoices, entering bills, obtaining approvals, reconciling vendor statements, and preparing payments.
Process and maintain service-related entries and supporting documentation accurately and on time.
Complete day-to-day bookkeeping activities and maintain accurate financial records.
Support month-end activities, including reconciliations, accruals, account reviews, reporting support, and documentation.
Support year-end activities by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required supporting information for external accountants.
Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including maintaining payroll records and responding to employee payroll-related questions.
Prepare and file HST returns and maintain supporting records.
Prepare and submit WSIB remittances and maintain related compliance documentation.
Maintain organized internal financial documentation, including invoices, payroll records, tax filings, vendor information, and supporting schedules.
Work closely with management, vendors, service teams, and external accounting professionals as required.
Assist with other finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field is an asset.
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting administration experience.
Experience managing accounts payable, payroll, HST, WSIB, month-end, and year-end support activities.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, reconciliations, financial documentation, and internal controls.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in retail, construction, home improvement, service, or inventory-based businesses is an asset.

This is an onsite position in Etobicoke, Ontario
Pay: $43,793.24-$87,157.55 per year
