We are seeking a Nuclear Quality Systems Engineer to work closely with our Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining enhanced nuclear quality standards across the organization. This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in nuclear quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement who enjoys working collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Nuclear Quality Systems Engineer will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ATMIS' Nuclear Quality Management System. The successful candidate will assist in integrating and maintaining compliance with evolving nuclear industry standards, customer-specific quality requirements, and regulatory expectations while supporting certification initiatives and audit readiness.
This position serves as the technical resource for nuclear quality standards and works collaboratively with engineering, production, procurement, and project management to ensure quality requirements are effectively incorporated into all aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Nuclear Quality Systems
Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of ATMIS' Nuclear Quality Management System.
Support compliance with applicable standards, including:

ASME Nuclear QSC
ASME Section III
ASME Section VIII
CSA B51
ISO 9001
CWB
Controlled Goods Program requirements
Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
Monitor revisions to applicable codes and standards and recommend updates to internal processes.
Compliance & Audit Support
Assist in preparing for customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
Support ASME accreditation and CSA qualification activities.
Participate in internal audits and compliance assessments.
Assist with supplier qualification and quality evaluations.
Ensure quality documentation remains complete, current, and audit-ready.
Engineering & Manufacturing Support
Review engineering documentation for compliance with applicable codes and customer specifications.
Support development of project-specific Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Verify material traceability and documentation requirements.
Review welding, NDE, inspection, and manufacturing records for compliance.
Provide technical guidance to engineering and production teams on quality and code requirements.
Continuous Improvement
Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Participate in root cause investigations.
Assist in improving quality processes and documentation.
Track quality performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
Help implement best practices that strengthen compliance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Ontario is considered an asset.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment, with nuclear industry experience.
Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.

Pay: $85,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
