About Us
We are an Ontario based manufacturer in the custom cabinetry industry and we have an opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our company in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting three manufacturing facilities.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a role in all HR functions including recruiting, on-boarding and off-boarding, training, health and safety, and company communications coordination. The Human Resources Coordinator will support the Human Resources Manager in cultivating an engaging, collaborative, and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Pre-screen and coordinate interviews for potential candidates with hiring managers;
- Coordinate the on-boarding/off-boarding of employees
- Track employee attendance and manage absenteeism
- Promote Early and Safe Return to Work, focusing on accommodation and coordination of modified duties; track, report and evaluate incidents and claim costs, and provide feedback to Human Resources Manager
- Identify, schedule and follow up on all in-house, Safe Operating Procedures, WHMIS and First Aid and CPR training sessions
- Organize company wide communications (e.g., memos, updated policies, etc.)
- Maintain compliance within WSIB, OHSA, Ontario Human Rights Code, ESA and other related legislation
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- BHRM/BCom degree specializing in Human Resources is preferred
- 1 year of recruiting experience preferred
- Solid understanding of Ontario ESA, OHSA and Ontario Human Rights Code
- Strong proficiency in MS Office – including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanour and attitude
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Fast learner with commitment to ongoing learning
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Tact and diplomacy when handling confidential information

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
