POSITION SUMMARY
The Packaging & Warehouse Worker combined role is responsible for performing packaging operations on the production line and warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving activities, to ensure products and materials are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with company standards, food safety regulations, and production schedules.
This position plays an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality, food safety compliance, workplace safety, and efficient production flow within the manufacturing facility.
WORK SCHEDULE: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (8-hour day shift). Overtime may be required based on production needs.
LOCATION: Cross Iron Dr, Calgary, AB. Public transit is limited in the area, and you may need your own vehicle for daily commuting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Packaging line Operations
- Operate lot coding machine, packaging machine and metal detector
- Package finished products according to production specifications and packaging instructions
- Label, seal, and prepare products for shipment
- Load materials into packaging machines or production lines
- Monitor packaging lines to ensure correct product count, weight, and packaging integrity
- Ensure products are properly coded, labelled, and dated
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Conduct sanitation at the end of production shifts
- Dispose of packaging waste and materials properly
Warehouse Operations
- Operate forklifts and complete daily equipment inspections
- Load and unload trucks
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials
- Pick, prepare, and ship orders
- Move materials and finished goods throughout the facility
- Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records
- Keep warehouse and loading areas clean and organized
Quality Control
- Inspect products and packaging for defects or damage
- Ensure packaging meets company quality standards
- Report packaging errors, product defects, or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately
- Follow all product traceability and lot coding procedures
Food Safety and Compliance
- Follow all Food Safety, GMP, and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the packaging area and workstations
- Follow proper handwashing and hygiene procedures
- Ensure compliance with company HACCP and food safety programs
- Prevent contamination and maintain product integrity
Workplace Safety
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately
- Participate in workplace safety training
Additional Duties
- Employees may be required to perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Supervisor to support operational requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid forklift certification required
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production environments is an asset
- Communicable English required; Mandarin is an asset
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety practices is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and perform physically demanding work in a production environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

- Regular use of packaging equipment, forklifts, and material handling equipment
- Required to wear appropriate PPE and follow GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety procedures
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
