Production Team Leader:
The Production Team Leader you will provide hands-on leadership on a production shift within the plant to ensure that production schedules are met safely and on time all within a fast paced (Just in Time) food manufacturing environment.

You will be reporting to the Line Leader and Shift leader, and your focus will be to:

Responsible for leading production Team Members on a shift
Ensure production schedules are met. Follow-up and deal with any problems that may occur.
Co-ordinate the various department schedules, products and manpower to ensure that the production in the plant runs smoothly.
Check throughout shift to ensure that proper methods and procedures are being used and that quality, safety, environment standards are being met.
Provides orientation and training as required to ensure an effective and efficient work force.
Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing Company standards and following up on regular inspections.
Troubleshoot processes and equipment.
Assist in all testing of new equipment, methods and or products.
Additional responsibilities may be added to better satisfy the needs of the business.

Required Ingredients:
Minimum 3 years team lead experience in a food manufacturing and/or processing environment. (Prior experience from a bakery is a definite asset)
Must be a demonstrated decision-maker who easily interacts with others and is adept at leading and motivating a team to meet demands established by the schedule.
Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Working knowledge of GMP's, HACCP & O.H.S.A required
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email)
Flexibility, high energy and passion are required
Familiar with an ERP System highly preferred
