We are looking for a friendly and professional Health Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Clinic management team, the role of Chiropractic Health Assistant is hybrid in nature, consisting of both administrative and patient-care elements. The incumbent will work in a team environment, assisting in the day-to-day operations of the clinic as well as providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming telephone calls and greet clients in a positive & professional manner.
- Collect payments (cash, cheque, debit, and credit).
- Send and receive faxes.
- Book and reschedule appointments using booking software (Jane).
- Send daily email reminders and complete phone call reminders for practitioners.
- Complete customer care calls.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment, complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks (a detailed cleaning checklist is provided in employee handbook).
- Assist chiropractors with Inferential Current (IFC) and Ultrasound therapies.
- Ensure all treatment rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Provide assistance to physiotherapists by delivering and placing heat packs on patients.
- Maintain an efficient and effective flow of patients.
- Completing patient charts and preparing patient files.
- Communicating with the chiropractors, practitioners, and clinic management to ensure superior patient care.
- Other duties as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Friendly, positive, outgoing, and personable disposition.
- Strong computer, telephone, and communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment, but also possess the ability to work well independently.
- 2+ years of customer service experience within a client-facing role.
- Post-secondary education in Medical Office Administration, Fitness & Health Promotion, Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant, other related health/medical field, or relevant working experience considered an asset.
- Experience with Jane Booking System considered an asset.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day, afternoon, evening, and weekend.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism, and consistently deliver superior customer service
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve within a very fast-paced environment.
- Punctuality and flexibility a must.
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
