Kaewest Concrete Construction Inc. is hiring a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Calgary.
We are an industry leader in concrete pumping, placing & finishing concrete floors in Calgary & area. We are looking for a red seal heavy duty mechanic to keep our fleet of concrete pumps, concrete equipment, and pickup trucks operating at top efficiency!
Key Responsibilities
· Repair, adjust and/or replace defective components or systems on concrete pump trucks, concrete construction equipment & pickup trucks
· Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area and assist with general cleaning duties in a workshop environment
· Maintain daily record of all work tasks and materials
· Drive picker truck & deliver equipment to jobsites
Required Knowledge and Experience
· Journeyman Certificate Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic.
· 3+ years of industry experience.
· Ability to speak and write English clearly
· A valid Class 3 or Class 5 driver’s license are requirements of this position
· Possess a valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract according to company policy
· Must have own transportation to and from our shop.
· Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol policy
· Strong leadership and effective communication skills
· Physically fit, heavy lifting required
· Knowledge in hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics
· Concrete experience; automotive knowledge; strong trouble-shooting skills; and diagnostic backgrounds are considered assets
Pay Rate
· Starting rate $38.00 - $49.50 / hour (based on experience & skill)
· Overtime rates after 8 hours / day and 44 hours / week

Shift Timing
· Monday to Friday
· After hours call out and weekends for emergency repairs
