The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, and ensuring the store meets sales and operational goals. Bilingual abilities and a background in merchandising, marketing, and administrative functions are highly valued to enhance team performance and customer engagement.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, inventory management, and merchandising to maximize sales.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing policies, and marketing initiatives to increase store revenue.
- Manage purchasing decisions, stock levels, and vendor relationships to ensure product availability and optimal inventory turnover.
- Monitor store budget, control expenses, and perform bookkeeping tasks to maintain financial health.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and training sessions to foster a motivated team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to alcohol sales and store policies.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Utilize organizational skills to coordinate promotional events or special sales campaigns effectively.
Qualifications
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permeant Resident or on an Open Visa
- Proven experience in retail management or store supervision within a liquor or similar retail environment.
- Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to recruit, train, and develop staff effectively while managing payroll processes.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases better.
- Knowledge of marketing techniques relevant to retail settings along with administrative experience including bookkeeping and budgeting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
