We are currently looking for someone to join our team from July and August (one week training end of June) in the role of Summer Camp Coordinator.
Position is Full Time - Temporary. Running from July and August. Potential to carry into a full time permanent position within Kids U in another role.

We are looking for someone who has strong organizational skills and an attention to detail along with interpersonal skills and finds joy in working with children and adults. Our teachers are committed to learning and teaching in emergent, project-based ways. Their commitment and openness to collaboration fosters a student-centered, inquiry based learning environment that cultivates enthusiastic and globally-minded individuals.
Reporting to the Program Director the Summer Camp Coordinator will be responsible for the programming and organization of the Summer Camp Educators, children and activities.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide support and oversight for Summer Day Camps staff, programming and children
Provide direct supervision to teachers and feedback on a regular basis
Implement and maintain Kids U Policies and Procedures
Assist with regular camp activities such as art, games, sports, and others, as well as supporting children’s care routines
Plan and Execute Field trip activities: including confirming bookings with facilities and planning a unique and exciting experience for the children at the field trip site
Communicate with parents, program supervisors at various campuses and campus staff, summer program staff
Supervise, lead and support summer program staff members
Assist children with self-care (ie. dressing/diapering)
Other duties might be assigned

Qualifications:
Alberta Child Care Certification
Post Secondary Degree/Diploma (preferable in education or outdoor pursuits)
Experience facilitating and organizing events/programs
Competent communication skills both orally and written
Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling required
Ability to lift a min. of 40 lbs especially when working with infants and toddlers
