Duties
- Assist bakers with preparing ingredients, mixing doughs, and assembling baked goods
- Support cake decorating efforts with piping, icing, and finishing touches to create visually appealing treats
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Package baked items efficiently for retail display or customer orders, ensuring freshness and presentation
- Maintain organization of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and baking tools to ensure smooth workflow
- Contribute to food preparation tasks such as slicing, portioning, and garnishing baked products
- Uphold food safety regulations by adhering to hygiene standards and cleaning schedules at all times
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or baking is preferred; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety practices within the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills to create a friendly atmosphere for customers and colleagues
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
