Hours: 37.5 per week
Status: Temporary Full-time (1 year)

The role requires an individual who is able to schedule research subject appointments, perform data entry, and set up weekly clinic rosters. The Research Clerk must also possess excellent interpersonal skills as they will have various opportunities to assist research subjects with various study-related appointments. The Research Clerk will utilize their effective communication skills to perform patient intake activities, to disseminate information to our multidisciplinary clinical teams as well as to conduct follow-up calls, which may occasionally require flexibility around work hours. Must be able to understand and anticipate patient and customer/client needs and be able to respond with the highest level of service. There may also be opportunities to participate in our other research projects.
Qualifications
- At minimum, Community college diploma in a health-related discipline, or equivalent
- At minimum, 6 months related experience; clinical research experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Previous experience working in neurology and epilepsy will be an asset
- General knowledge of research processes, procedures and standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent telephone, data entry/computer systems, and word processing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to attend to detail and produce accurate, high quality of work
- Ability to multi-task, work in a stressful environment and under pressure
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
