About the Role
We are seeking experienced Butchers to join a meat processing facility in Georgetown, Ontario. This position requires strong knife skills, particularly in ham leg deboning and beef trimming, while working in a cold processing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Debone ham legs accurately and efficiently
- Trim beef according to quality and production specifications
- Safely operate knives and meat-processing tools
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production targets
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter
- Strong experience with:
- Ham leg deboning
- Beef trimming
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physically capable of performing repetitive manual tasks
- Comfortable working in a cold processing environment
Work Environment & Requirements
- Cold meat-processing facility
- Facility processes various meat products, including pork and beef. Candidates must be comfortable handling and working around raw meat products.
- Must provide and wear:
- Rubber boots
- Thermal jacket
- Reliable transportation is required
