Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Lighting Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the lighting sales consultant, providing expert guidance and personalized service to our diverse clientele. Your passion for design, renovation, and construction will help customers transform their spaces with innovative lighting solutions. This position offers a vibrant environment where your sales expertise and product knowledge will shine, contributing directly to our growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in retail and inside sales environments to understand their lighting needs and preferences.
- Conduct detailed product demonstrations, showcasing features and benefits of various lighting options, including fixtures, bulbs, and accessories.
- Coordinate with clients during renovation and construction projects, providing expert advice on lighting placement and specifications.
- Handle POS transactions and cash handling accurately while maintaining organized merchandising displays.
- Develop marketing strategies to promote lighting products, including product demos and promotional events.
- Maintain excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers, vendors, and team members in multiple languages if applicable.
- The ideal candidate would also be able to do some shipping and receiving, do local deliveries
Skills that we are looking for, but not all required
- Experience sales, within the home improvement or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of lighting products, renovation processes, and construction practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, pricing, and estimates accurately.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and merchandising is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles to support product promotion efforts.
- Ability to lift boxes
- Ability to climb a ladder.
- Well versed in Excel
