Outside Sales Representative

Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales through cold calls with walk-in and/or telephone customers, repeat customers and sales leads, presenting product models and explaining the modular process;
  • Take responsibility in prospecting, qualifying, proposing, and closing leads;
  • Maintain the salesforce database;
  • Maintain a high level of service to existing customers; managing the customer relationship from contract execution through delivery to after sales service; and soliciting referrals from these customers, where possible;
  • Develop market strategy for accounts designed to generate sales from new customers and maximize sales from existing customers;
  • Identify and develop sales channels;
  • Developing and understanding of the customer's requirements, business environment and strategy
  • Develop a business plan with the management which details the quota, target customer base, products and methods to be used to meet or exceed plan;
  • Continuously monitor, analyze and report on competitive activities, new business opportunities, regulatory developments, customer perceptions and market needs;
  • Maintain sales database with accurate forecasting; Provide an annual and quarterly forecast of customer plans and purchases to facilitate company planning and budgeting of resources;
  • Identifying competition and competitive actions for the assigned accounts and communicate information to marketing and sales management;
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times;
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge;
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an outside sales role developing new business
  • Excellent prospecting skills, with an ability to maintain strong relationships after the sale has closed
  • Strong ability to make effective presentations, and ability to negotiate deals
  • High level of business integrity and work ethic; and
  • Must have own vehicle to travel

Job Types: Full-time, Commission, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
