Technical Project Manager - Brampton, Ontario
In this role, you will work with a wide range of technical and business teams as well as vendors in support of projects delivered in waterfall, agile or hybrid method for our colleague solutions. Leading project teams, managing project budgets and reporting will be your day to day. You will be accountable for the success of project implementations and the resources required to deliver the project outcomes.
This position provides the opportunity to engage and work with various business stakeholders across Loblaw Technology and the business. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who is collaborative and is excited to be a part of a diverse culture.
What You’ll Do:
Prepares project plans, acquires approvals and coordinates activities of large and complex projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames and within budget
Define all activities with corresponding resources, work effort, duration, target dates and actual dates Establishes and sustains effective team environment based on increasing performance motivation and encouragement.
Provide clear, consistent, and timely messaging; both verbal and written; within the team and to technology and business leadership; facilitate effective and timely meetings
Manage colleague solutions team financials across different portfolios including cost plans to ensure forecasting accuracy
Manage multiple strategic projects and work with product analysts to ensure enhancements and minor updates are tracked to completion
Delegate project tasks to cross functional team members and ensure they are completed within committed schedule
What you Bring
Proven experience with the principles of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
Hands on experience building and communicating project plans, roadmaps and strategies
Experience in managing budgets, estimation and planning and knows how to create useful, reliable and practical plans
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Experience with technical project delivery in one or more of the following areas: Application Modernization, Systems Integration, Custom Development
Certificates, Licenses or Registration:
PMP designation preferred
