Job Summary
Paese Ristorante is seeking friendly and attentive Servers to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, guiding guests through our extensive wine list and making suggestions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Previous restaurant or food service experience in an Italian restaurant is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The Server will play a vital role in delivering memorable dining experiences while maintaining efficient restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns professionally
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations within the restaurant environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Italian restaurant
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Silverware, is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- WSET training or equivalent knowledge
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
